History: I'm what you'd call a product of a puppy mill, and I have the microchip to prove it. I went from living in a wire cage at the mill, to living in a glass cage at a pet store in Los Angeles. But on one happy day, a little boy picked me up, and said I was the cutest little puppy ever, and off I went to live happily ever after...so I thought. For the first few weeks I was the center of attention, cute, small and cuddly. But as time went on, the bigger I got, the less attention I received, and pretty soon I found myself spending more and more time in the yard, and eventually became the 'yard dog'. I was deprived of socialization, training, regular care and grooming, but the worst was yet to come. One day, our house was no more ours, and my back yard was no longer mine. We lost everything, and we all had to relocate. Yes we all did vacate at the same time, but my destination was to the local pound. At this point I remember thinking life could not get any worse, but unfortunately it did. Now another family decided to adopt me from the pound, but for all the wrong reasons, and not too long after, I found myself kicked out to the curb, and abandoned once again. Joining the mass of the unwanted animals on the streets of Los Angeles, I was walking aimlessly day and night, hungry, thirsty, and limping in pain from several near death experiences. Until one day, I could walk no more, and I just collapsed next to a parked car. Little did I know, the parked car belonged to an animal rescuer, and within minutes, I felt her helping hands reach out to me, and I in return fully surrendered to her mercy. Finally I could see a glimmer of hope awaiting me. My lifeless bony body was lifted to safety, and my urgent needs were attended to immediately (see my pix below.) It was at that moment that I knew my life on the streets was no more. Now months have passed, and my physical injuries have healed, and my emotional scars are still healing. I now live in a no kill shelter, and I'm eagerly awaiting the right family to give me a wonderful forever home that I so deserve. Below are some pictures of what I looked like before. No the pictures are not of a Puli breed dog or a baby gorilla, the pictures are of poor little me, who had gone neglected for eternity. Thank you for reading about me, and please share my story with your friends and help me find my way to a new home. ![]() |
Hi, and thank you for taking the time to read about me, my history, and don't forget to watch my cute video. My energy level is very high, and I like to run and get lots of exercise, and some say that I'd be really good at agility too. I like long walks, hiking, playing with toys, and being the center of attention. I'm also a very loyal dog, and I do bark when strangers are around. Please don't hold that against me. I'm just protecting you. I also like to have nice humans around, and I don't like to be left alone all day long. Once you read my history, you'll understand why. My dream home is: Someone who has experience with my type of a dog, and is familiar with our health, skin, grooming and diet needs. Also a house with a yard is a must. Since I'm active, my family has to be active too. Also, since I lived with a child previously, I prefer not to do that again. I need to be the only child this time around. I do tolerate other dogs, but it does take me time to adjust, and no cats for me PLEASE! Please do also read my history, watch my cute video, and share me with your friends, so my dream home soon becomes a reality.
