More and more pets are being abandoned by owners, and every single one coming through our doors is in need of some type of medical care. Whether the need calls for a surgery, medical treatment, orthopedic care or simply dental, we at PAF do our very best to make every pet whole again, physically and emotionally, but we do need your financial support to continue.

Mickey was abandoned in the streets, and he was found with a severely injured leg and had to be amputated. He is a sweet boy, and needs a loving guardian who will never ever abandon him again.

teri jack russell
pawMeet Teri

We rescued Teri from a city shelter, where she was brought in as a stray, and with a severely impacted eye, as a result of a long term, left untreated case of Glaucoma. Unfortunately, despite many attempts to contact her registered guardian, Teri was left unclaimed, and spent many days suffering in pain at the city pound.
By the time Teri came to us, her eye was beyond repair, and had to be totally removed. Her other eye is compromised as well, so her vision is impaired.
However, Teri is one spunky girl, full of energy and life, and she finds her way around with little or no effort. All she wants is for a family to welcome her home and shower her with love and care that she so obviously lacked in her previous home.

remmy jack russell
pawMeet Remmy!

Remmy, is a spunky Jack Russell Terrier, and a long time resident of our kennel. Sadly, Remmy has failing hind legs that cannot be helped, despite his many visits to medical specialists. However, thanks to one of our volunteers, Remmy has a new ride now (see picture above) that he so enjoys on daily basis, as he takes a stroll down the neighborhood with one of his favorite volunteers.
If you are thinking of opening your heart and your home to a special needs pet, please consider adopting or fostering Remmy.

The need is even greater now, as more owners are faced with tough economical challenges, and their pets' health is no longer a priority. This is why our existence is so important for these abandoned animals. Not only do we provide them with food and shelter, we heal their pain, nurse their wounds, comfort their fears...we give them hope.
