BECOME A VOLUNTEER

We are an all volunteer organization and welcome your participation in several rewarding activities. If you want to make a big difference in the lives of our residents, there are many ways you can get involved. We need volunteers over the age of 18 years old to walk our dogs of all sizes, spending time with our cats, grooming our dogs and cats, taking photos to post online, helping in the office, or helping with adoption events. We have no minimum hour requirement, and the kennel is open to our volunteers 6 days a week between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. If you are a trainer or a groomer, please consider donating some of your time for a rewarding experience, and to help our dogs become more adoptable.

*** Note: A $10.00 deposit will be required for each leash, if your interest is to work with our dogs. We only use a 'slip-on' type leash, and no other types of leashes, leads, collars will be permitted.

	Pet Adoption Fund is a no-kill shelter, and that means, for some of our residents PAF may be the only loving home they'll ever know. Our volunteers play a huge role in enriching the lives of those less fortunate ones. We have many dogs and cats waiting to welcome you with open paws. Get involved today!

	We know this type of work is not for everyone. It can be emotionally draining and overwhelming. However, when you witness a lifeless, abused little soul transform into a happy, healthy, playful little angel, it makes it all worthwhile, and that's why our devoted and committed volunteers keep coming back.


	BE SOMEONE'S FRIEND!
	If you would prefer to work one-on-one with a dog, and to become a 'mentor', we would love to have you. You can choose one dog, work with his/her issues, focus on making the dog more adoptable, start networking, and hopefully get the dog out of the kennel environment and into a loving home as soon as possible.
